Delhi Aug 14-19, 2007
A Hindu monkey god blesses the Delhi motorists. They need it.
A Delhi ally near our first hotel. There's tons of stray dogs roaming the streets of Delhi.
There's also many stray cows that roam the streets. This is the street our second hotel was on.
The beautiful colonial architecture of Delhi's streets.
Another cow on the street. Cows are sacred in Hinduism, and you can't get beef anywhere in India (even McDonalds).
Another street scene.
The view from the New Delhi train station.
Everyone took to the roofs for India Independence Day
A zoomed up view of some children flying kites on a Delhi roof.
Michelle in front of Safdarjung's tomb. Delhi was a dirty, crazy city, but it had some nice sights.
Safdarjung's tomb a little closer.
A view from the tomb.
Fyl might wish he had Nawab Shuja-ud-Daulah's charm, but he doesn't.
I don't remember where this was but probably in India.
The entrance to Humayun's tomb, which was quite a fancy tomb indeed.
Fyl outside a tomb, where the "friendly" cleaner took him on a free tour, then asked for money.
We climbed up the outer fort for this picture.
Humayun's Tomb is one of the best things to see in Delhi.
The mystical tomb.
Workers replacing broken parts of the monument in 36C heat
Trying to cross the road to our hotel
After every meal, this type of box is brought out, full of spices and sugar to freshen your breath.
The power goes out in the whole of Delhi on average 6 times a day, lucky our hotels have back up generators!
Sweaty Michelle outside the Red Fort

A little boy being dragged around Delhi sightseeing.
The women make the monuments even more beautiful by walking around in such fantastic saris.
